What companies sending staff to Ankara from out of town for projects, audits, training or installation work look for in accommodation is actually simple: a hotel that is close to work, quiet, and clear about prices and invoicing from the outset. In this guide, written for HR, administrative and procurement teams looking for a corporate hotel in Ankara, you will find what to look out for in an agreement, practical notes on invoicing and payment, and the distances from our hotel to Ankara's business hubs.

Dora Beytepe Otel is a 73-room hotel at the junction of Çayyolu, Beytepe, Ümitköy and İncek in Ankara. We are a 10-15 minute drive from the business centres on Eskişehir Yolu, the technology parks and Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, and we offer our corporate guests short, weekly and monthly stay options.

What Is Corporate Accommodation?

Corporate accommodation is a stay that a company arranges with a hotel for its employees or guests on terms agreed in advance. What sets it apart from an individual booking is that the price, payment method and invoicing are agreed with the company from the start. When employees arrive at the hotel, they do not need to ask about prices or pay with their own card and deal with expense claims; the stay is invoiced to the company.

The main benefits a corporate agreement offers a company:

  • Predictable costs: A company rate set for each room type, VAT included

  • A single point of contact: One point of contact for bookings, room changes and invoices

  • Regular invoicing: Stays invoiced to the company's registered name

  • Flexible planning: A room plan for employees arriving and leaving on different dates

  • Length-of-stay advantage: Special rates for weekly and monthly stays

Which Companies and Teams Need Corporate Accommodation?

Ankara is a city where public institutions, the defence industry, technology parks and organised industrial zones all sit side by side. As a result, demand for corporate accommodation comes from a wide range of sectors:

  • Project and field teams: Technical staff who stay in the city for weeks on construction, energy, engineering and infrastructure projects

  • Technology and R&D teams: Software and project teams visiting companies at METU (ODTÜ) Teknokent, Bilkent Cyberpark and Hacettepe Teknokent

  • Defence industry suppliers: Engineering, testing and quality teams working with organisations such as ASELSAN, HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ

  • Industry and manufacturing: Technical service staff coming to factories in OSTİM and Başkent OSB for installation, maintenance and commissioning

  • Auditing, training and consultancy: Audits, training sessions and set-up work lasting a few days or a few weeks

  • Trade fair and congress attendees: Teams attending trade fairs, congresses and meetings at ATO Congresium in Söğütözü

  • Healthcare sector: Company representatives and technical support teams working with Ankara Bilkent City Hospital

What Should You Look for in a Corporate Hotel Agreement?

Clarifying the following points with the hotel in writing before signing the agreement settles most of the questions that might come up later:

  • Rate structure: Have nightly, weekly and monthly rates been set separately? Do the prices include VAT? Do they include breakfast?

  • Room types and allocation: Draw up a room plan, for example single rooms for managers and twin rooms for field teams, and discuss how many rooms can be set aside during busy periods.

  • Cancellations and date changes: Project schedules can slip, so it is important to have the cancellation and date-change terms in writing.

  • Invoicing details: The company's registered name, tax office, tax number and billing address should be provided at the outset, and it should be agreed when invoices will be issued.

  • Payment method: Bank transfer/EFT or credit card? Will the company pay, or the employee?

  • Booking process: Who will notify the hotel of a new employee's name and dates, and through which channel (email, phone)?

  • Room cleaning for long stays: How often cleaning and towel and bed linen changes will take place.

  • Location and transport: The employee's commute to work, parking for company vehicles, and metro and bus connections.

  • Working environment: Internet in the room, a quiet environment and a space for short meetings when needed.

Practical Notes on Invoicing, Payment and Accounting

Invoicing and taxes are the topics accounting teams ask about most when it comes to corporate accommodation. At Dora Beytepe Otel, corporate stays are invoiced to the company. We prepare our quotes in Turkish lira with VAT included; breakfast is not included in our prices.

In addition to VAT, accommodation invoices also show accommodation tax as a separate item. The accommodation tax rate has been reduced from 2% to 1% until 31 December 2026 by Presidential Decree. We recommend asking your accountant how accommodation expenses should be recorded in your company's books.

At check-in, each employee is asked for their ID card or passport; this is due to hotels' legal obligation to register guests' identities. If you are sending foreign specialists, simply remind them to carry their passports with them.

Short, Weekly and Monthly Corporate Stays

Corporate requests usually follow one of three patterns: employees coming for a meeting or an audit stay a few nights, installation and training teams stay one to several weeks, and project staff may be in the city for months. You can plan all three types of stay under the same agreement.

  • Short stays (1-6 nights): Nightly company rate; check-in 14:00, check-out 12:00

  • Weekly: Special rate depending on length of stay; see our weekly stay guide for details

  • Monthly and long-term: Special rates for stays of more than a week and room cleaning at an agreed frequency; some of our rooms have a kitchen. Details: monthly stay guide and rooms with a kitchen

For teams working in shifts or on rotation, we can plan each employee's check-in and check-out dates separately. Simply send us the list of names and dates, and we will prepare the room plan accordingly.
