How to Reach Our Hotel in Çayyolu, Ankara: A Travel Guide by Metro, Airport Transfer, Bus and Car

One of the questions guests visiting Ankara for the first time ask us most often before booking is about getting here: "How do I get from the airport to the hotel, is there a metro, and where can I park my car?" In this guide we explain step by step how to reach Dora Beytepe Otel from the airport, the bus terminal, the high-speed train (YHT) station and the city centre, and we also summarise daily travel from the hotel to the campuses, the hospital and the shopping centres.

Where is the hotel?

Dora Beytepe Otel is on the western side of Ankara, at the Çayyolu–Beytepe–Ümitköy–İncek junction. Our address: Prof. Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Mah. 2719. Sk. No:1, Çayyolu, Çankaya/Ankara. Type "Dora Beytepe Otel" into your navigation app and it will bring you straight to us.

By metro: Koru Metro Station (M2 line)

The closest metro station to the hotel is Koru. Koru is the last stop on the M2 line, which runs between Kızılay and Çayyolu. The station is about 6 minutes from the hotel by car and about 28 minutes on foot; from the station, a short taxi ride brings you to the hotel. If you prefer the bus, take bus no. 593 from Koru: the journey takes about 15 minutes, you get off at the Yeşilbarışkent Sitesi stop, and the hotel is a 1-minute walk from the stop.

The M2 line also serves the METU (ODTÜ), Bilkent, Ümitköy and Çayyolu stations. From Kızılay, simply board the M2 towards Koru; travellers coming from other parts of the city change at Kızılay. The same line also lets you reach the Bilkent and METU campuses or the city centre without a car during your stay.

From the airport to the hotel

Esenboğa Airport is about 40 km from the hotel. The most practical options are a taxi or a pre-arranged private transfer; the journey takes about an hour, depending on traffic. If you prefer public transport, you can take an airport bus to Kızılay and then the M2 metro to Koru. From the bus terminal (AŞTİ) and YHT station to the hotel

AŞTİ and Ankara YHT Station both lie on the eastern approach to the hotel. From either one, you can travel by metro, with changes, to Kızılay and then take the M2 to Koru; a taxi straight to the hotel takes about half an hour, depending on traffic.

If you are arriving by high-speed train from the Istanbul direction, you can also get off at Eryaman YHT Station in Etimesgut if your train stops there; the drive from Eryaman to the hotel takes about 20 minutes. For details, see our Bağlıca, Etimesgut and Eryaman guide.

Arriving by car: free parking

Free parking is available at the hotel for guests arriving in their own car. Drivers heading towards Çayyolu on Eskişehir Yolu can reach the hotel quickly via the Beytepe–İncek link road. For those coming from the west (the Eskişehir direction), the hotel can be reached without entering the city centre, which saves a great deal of time, especially in evening traffic.

Getting around from the hotel

Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus and Hacettepe Teknokent are a short drive from the hotel. Bilkent University and METU can be reached quickly by car via Eskişehir Yolu, or by metro on the M2 from Koru. Ankara Bilkent City Hospital is about 12–15 minutes away by car. Çayyolu Park Caddesi, Ümitköy Galeria and the other shopping centres in the area are just a few minutes' drive away.
