Places to Visit in Ankara: Getting to Anıtkabir, Kızılay and Ankara Castle from Dora Beytepe Otel
Guests who come to Ankara for work, study or a hospital visit and want to spend a few hours seeing the city often ask us where they can go and how to get there. Our hotel is in Çayyolu, around 20 km from the city centre. You can stay in a quiet area and still comfortably explore the main sights in the centre during the day.

How to Get to the City Centre
By car or taxi: Around 20-35 minutes to Kızılay, Anıtkabir and Atakule, depending on traffic.
By metro: Take bus no. 593 from the Yeşilbarışkent Sitesi stop, 1 minute from the hotel, to Koru Metro Station (about 15 minutes), then the M2 metro line from Koru to Kızılay (about 30 minutes).
Tip: Parking can be hard to find in Kızılay and Ulus, so we recommend taking the metro on weekdays.

Anıtkabir
Anıtkabir, Atatürk's mausoleum, is the first stop for almost every visitor to Ankara. Located on Anıttepe in Çankaya, it can be reached from our hotel in around 20-30 minutes by car, depending on traffic. We recommend checking the official announcements for visiting hours and ceremony days before you go.
Kızılay and Around
Kızılay is the city centre and is considered the heart of Ankara. As the terminus of the M2 metro line, it is the central point most easily reached from our hotel by public transport. Güvenpark and Kocatepe Mosque are close to Kızılay, and the area has plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants.
Ulus, Ankara Castle and the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations
In Ulus, the city's historic centre, you can visit Ankara Castle together with the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations at the foot of the castle. The restored historic houses of nearby Hamamönü also make a lovely walking route. This area is around 25-35 minutes from our hotel by car, depending on traffic; by public transport, you can go to Kızılay first and continue from there.
Atakule, Tunalı Hilmi Caddesi and Kuğulu Park
Atakule in Çankaya is one of the city's landmark buildings. Tunalı Hilmi Caddesi and Kuğulu Park in Kavaklıdere, with their cafés and shops, are popular for an evening stroll. Atakule is around 20-30 minutes from our hotel by car.
Places to Visit Near the Hotel
